In The Community

Kerr Workplace Solutions values giving back to the communities we serve through local non-profit organizations, schools we serve and KWS-orchestrated events.

United Way of Central Kentucky

Kerr Workplace Solutions partners with the United Way of Central Kentucky each year with an employee campaign.  Our employees designate funds out of their pay checks to assist non-profits in our service area. Kerr Workplace Solutions donated the time of our interior designers to space plan and select colors for the UWCKY new facility. Kerr Workplace Solutions also sponsored the Presidents office and donated new office furniture.

Elizabethtown Police Foundation

It is the overall mission of the Foundation to promote excellence and enhance the effectiveness of the Elizabethtown Police Department (EPD); and, in so doing, improve or enhance public safety in the City of Elizabethtown.

The Foundation’s mission shall be achieved by utilizing private donations designated to provide much needed equipment, training and programs as well as to assist officers and their families.

Kerr Workplace Solutions sponsored a Fourth of July picnic for the EPD and invited their families to a night fun with a cornhole tournament, Bbq, fireworks, basketball and a hayride.

Hardin County Chamber of Commerce

The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce is a member driven, proactive organization guided by a committed Board of Directors selected from a wide range of county businesses and organizations.

Our mission is to support a prosperous business climate in Hardin County through advocacy, information and customer service in order to promote business development, retention and enhance our quality of place.

To bring our members the greatest benefits, HCCC focuses on helping our members to network, promote, develop, and advocate.

Pat Owsley Memorial FFA Scholarship

Pat Owsley was a lifelong farmer and an active supporter of the Central Hardin High School FFA program.  He was a member of FFA while in school and he earned the American Farmer Degree shortly after graduating which is the highest degree in the Future Farmers of America. He was a dairy, beef cattle and crop farmer. Sadly, he lost his life in a farming accident at the age of 63. This scholarship was established by Kerr Workplace Solutions in his memory to provide opportunity for other FFA members.  For more information please contact Central Hardin High School FFA, Cecila, Kentucky

Central Kentucky Community Foundation

CENTRAL KENTUCKY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION is the philanthropic focal point in the region, serving as a resource, leader and catalyst to people who wish to improve life in their community. We are here to help our donors make a positive impact in their community.

Three special features of Central Kentucky Community Foundation:

  1. Personalized Service – We make giving easy and effective, accepting a wide variety of gifts and providing donors a number of charitable options. You can contribute cash, stocks, property, and bequests. You may establish a fund in your name or in the name of a loved one. In most cases, your gift qualifies for maximum tax advantage under federal law.
  2. Local Expertise – Our professional staff has an in-depth understanding of the issues, opportunities, and resources that shape our community. We monitor all areas of community need — including human services, education, the environment, healthcare, the arts, and economic development. We can help you learn more about local organizations and programs that make a difference in areas you care about most.
  3. Community Leadership – We invest in the long term and bring people and organizations together, convening diverse voices to address local issues and opportunities. Building community is our business.

Boy Scouts of America

The Lincoln Heritage Council is one of the oldest local Councils serving both urban and rural areas in the United States. Their first charter was granted under the name “Louisville Area Council” in 1912. Later they applied for and received permission to change the name of the Council to “Old Kentucky Home Council”, which remained the name until 1992. In 1992, the George Rogers Clark Area Council, based out of New Albany, Indiana, chose to join efforts with their neighbor, the Old Kentucky Home Council . The councils merged, and on January 1, 1993, the Lincoln Heritage Council officially came to be.

On April 1, 2012 the Lincoln Heritage Council welcomed 39 counties in western Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee formally served by the Shawnee Trails Council. The territory became the Western Service Area in the Lincoln Heritage Council.

The Council has thirteen geographical districts and four service areas. The Lincoln Heritage Council #205 is composed of 64 counties in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee.

Big Brother Big Sister

Clarity Solutions for Women

Abortion Alternatives You had plans… A baby wasn’t one of them.

If you’ve recently taken a pregnancy test or missed a period, you may be concerned about an unplanned pregnancy.  You have so many questions – what are my options?  Do my parents have to find out?  Can I continue my education? What about me?

Clarity is here to help.

Our center offers lab quality pregnancy tests, accurate medical information on pregnancy and abortion, and compassionate support during this critical time in your life.

If your pregnancy is confirmed, we also offer complimentary ultrasound exams to determine if your pregnancy is viable.  (A natural miscarriage occurs in about 1 in 4-5 of all early pregnancies.)   An ultrasound will also tell you how far along you are and rule out a tubal pregnancy (a life-threatening medical emergency).  It’s important that you learn as much as possible to come to an informed and confident decision.

We’re here to listen.

We’ll guard your privacy.  We won’t judge you.  All our services are free because we don’t want to profit from your problem.

Spring Haven Domestic Violence Shelter

Our mission is to educate our communities, be agents for social change, and empower victims of domestic violence to become survivors by providing shelter, advocacy and education.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through five key service areas:

Disaster Relief

The Red Cross responds to approximately 70,000 disasters in the United States every year, ranging from home fires that affect a single family to hurricanes that affect tens of thousands, to earthquakes that impact millions. In these events, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, health and mental health services to help families and entire communities get back on their feet. Although the Red Cross is not a government agency, it is an essential part of the response when disaster strikes. We work in partnership with other agencies and organizations that provide services to disaster victims.

Supporting America’s Military Families

The Red Cross helps military members, veterans and their families prepare for, cope with, and respond to the challenges of military service. Emergency communications, training, support to wounded warriors and veterans, and access to community resources help an average of 150,000 military families and veterans annually.

Lifesaving Blood

Your donations of blood are what make the American Red Cross the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the U.S. Each year, nearly 4 million people donate blood through the Red Cross, helping to provide more than 40% of America’s blood supply.

The Red Cross is the nation’s leading provider of health and safety courses, such as CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard training. Each year, more than 9 million Americans participate in our training programs, including first responders, educators, babysitters, and people who want to be prepared to help others in an emergency.

International Services

The American Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian network with 13 million volunteers in 187 countries. Working together, we help respond to disasters, build safer communities, and teach the rules of war. Each year, we reach an average of more than 100 million people across the globe.
